The Wellness Puzzle Podcast

Feel every moment

Episode Summary

In episode 117, I speak again to inspirational speaker, author, trainer and resilience expert, Stacey Copas. Stacey did not learn about resilience through years of study, education or reading. It became her world from the age of 12, when an accident left her in a wheelchair as a quadriplegic. You can imagine the kind of emotional roller coaster she must have been on over the years, and yet her message is to feel every moment, no matter how dark it may be. Trust me, this is a relevant and powerful podcast you really don't want to miss.

Episode Notes

Stacey Copas was a sporty, energetic and driven young girl whose life was turned upside down after diving into a shallow pool at the age of 12 years old. After breaking her neck, drowning and then being revived, she was told she would never walk again. Now in a wheelchair for life, what would she do with a future that at one point seemed so bright?

After many years of despair, depression and drugs, Stacey finally came to a realisation. That realisation was that her accident was actually something she could not change. So, she could complain about it, be depressed by it, use it as her excuse, or she could find the answers, to get her through the tough times, in the midst of the emotions she was experiencing. She decided to feel every moment, and use it to gain the awareness, understanding and answers she needed to live a life of significance.

Stacey is now writing her second book, is speaking to many people and sharing a message that is impacting many many lives. She is passionate, she is relatable, she is wise beyond her years and she left me feeling totally inspired. I know she will do the same for you and you will feel amazing after listening to Stacey Copas.
