In episode 273, I speak with personal transformation coach, Patrick Casey. After a challenging childhood, lack of self-worth, alcohol and drug addiction, Patrick has found some very basic tools to help him build his self-worth and transform his life. He learned that he needed to feel to heal, and now helps many people. He helps men riddled with self-hate, worry, and insecurity, to transform self-destructive patterns, so they can experience self-love, respect, and joy. This is a powerful conversation, not to be missed.
Patrick Casey has been sober and in recovery since the age of 19. After nearly 20 years of sobriety, years of therapy, reading self-help books, and going on spiritual journeys, he still felt like the young, wounded child of his youth; consumed with self-hate, pessimism, insecurities, anger issues, and constantly worrying about everything.
While attending a live event that he discovered through a podcast, he admitted to a room full of people that he doesn't love himself and I doesn't understand why. He was introduced to new material that has completely shifted my life over the past 2 years. He learned what has been at the root of his self-destructive actions along with uncovering the exact nature of his misguided beliefs. He is an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner who has transitioned to personal coaching. He has 6 years of experience working in substance abuse treatment. His mission is to provide men with a new structured process and a safe place where they can be vulnerable.
With some very simple strategies, Patrick was able to transform his life, and these same strategies can help every person. We often judge, blame, and hide our emotions. But what if it were these feelings we needed to heal? This is a wonderfully inspiring podcast, not to be missed.
