The Wellness Puzzle Podcast

Gratitude is a choice

Episode Summary

In episode 30, I speak to inspirational speaker. author, trainer and resilience expert, Stacey Copas. Stacey did not learn about reslience through years of study, education or reading. It became her world from the age of 12, when after an accident, she found herself in a wheelchair as a quadriplegic. Are you interested to find out what a quadriplegic has to be grateful for? Then, this is a podcast you really don't want to miss.

Episode Notes

Stacey Copas was a sporty, energetic and driven young girl whose life was turned upside down after diving into a shallow pool as a 12 years old. After breaking her neck, drowning and then being revived, she was told she would never walk again. Now in a wheelchair for life, what would she do with a future that, at one point, seemed so bright?

After many years of despair, depression and drugs, Stacey finally came to a realisation. That realisation was that, her accident was actually a cause for gratitude. From that moment, Stacey focused on developing positive rituals in her life and how she could impact the lives of other people. Her strength and courage shone through and she went on and now inspires and empowers people that gratitude, no matter the circumstances, is the core of resilience.

Stacey is now writing her second book, is speaking to many people and sharing a message that is impacting many many lives. She is happy, she is relatable, she is wise beyond her years and she left me feeling totally inspired. I know she will do the same for you and you will feel amazing after listening to Stacey Copas.
