Episode Notes

Dr. Mark A. Hicks wears many hats – author, ghostwriter, speaker, counselor / life coach, and podcast host. His passion lies in unraveling the mysteries of love and relationships, digging deep into what makes them tick. He firmly believes that healthy relationships are the cornerstone of a fulfilling life and career, and he loves sharing insights that resonate with audiences.

His expertise in building healthy, happy, thriving relationships developed from a three-fold path: First, he have a Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling and has served as a therapist in several professional capacities. Virtually every problem addressed in counseling comes down to relationships at home, at work, and other areas of life. Second, he comes from a spiritual / theological background with a Doctor of Ministry Degree and Masters of Divinity. At our spiritual core we seek thriving relationships as a vital part of life.

Third, and perhaps most significantly, he knows the hardship of toxic relationships. Early in his life, he was in a toxic first marriage, which ended in divorce, and he still has the emotional scars to show for it. That painful experience planted a seed in him. Mark wanted to know what love really is and how to live it out with a practical understanding. Now that he is happily married he often says, "I've had a bad marriage and a good one and - GOOD IS BETTER." That's why he poured his heart and soul into my book, "Learning Love: Building a Life That Matters and Healthy Relationships That Last." In today's world, where loneliness and conflict are pressing issues, his insights can offer hope and guidance for those seeking deeper connections.

In this episode, Mark shares the five components of love that anyone can learn and practice to build healthy, happy, thriving relationships regardless of their relationship experiences so far. Love is absolutely the answer. Enjoy...
